A day at the beach in Puerto Naos

Approximately one hour by car from the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma is Los Llanos de Aridane, in the south-west of La Palma, containing one of the island's main tourist resorts: Puerto Naos and its beach with its fine black sand at the foot of a cliff where there are still remains of past volcanic eruptions. La Palma’s marina is located in Santa Cruz, its capital, on the east coast. Tazacorte Harbour

On the west coast of La Palma, in a beautiful natural setting that is perfect for unwinding, you’ll find the Tazacorte’s charming harbour. It offers a range of services, including a mechanics workshop, Wi-Fi and even a laundry area. The 341 moorings accommodate boats up to 20 metres with drafts of up to three metres. It also has a fuel dock, 50-tonne 'travelift', a crane and replacement parts.

Barranco de Las Angustias Protected Landscape

The protected landscape of Barranco de Las Angustias covers four municipalities on La Palma: El Paso, Tijarafe, Los Llanos de Aridane and Tazacorte. This incredible natural space with enormous scenic value borders the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. The ravine starts at the area known as Dos Aguas, where the permanent streams from the caldera merge together: a fabulous place to go hiking due to its extraordinary beauty and uniqueness. Along the way, visitors will be able to see the Shrine to Nuestra Señora de Las Angustias – who is highly venerated on the island.
