Parador de La Palma

One of the starting points to get a feel for the natural pulse of La Palma is its National Parador. This emblematic hotel, located in the east of the island, boasts an unbeatable location. It's close to the airport and offers magnificent views of the capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma. Although its exterior is rather functional and without grand ornaments, the building pays homage to traditional Canary Island architecture, which always succumbs to wood. Inside, there are rooms that combine distinction and comfort.

Ruta de los Volcanes (Volcano Route)

Located between the central and southern regions of the island of La Palma, the Ruta of the Volcanoes has great natural trekking and because of this it was originally an important communication route between the island’s regions. This pathway, conditioned and signposted, goes through the municipalities of El Paso, Mazo and Fuencaliente within Cumbre Vieja National Park. Given the little vegetation and demanding inclines, it is highly advisable to wear suitable clothing, good mountain footwear and head protection. It is also important to take enough food and plenty of water for a six-eight hours hike.
