Let’s spend a whole day eating in the “Palmeros” way. For breakfast, a barraquito (sweet, milky coffee) and some cakes: marquesotes, mantecados, almendrados. Would you prefer a more filling and less sweet breakfast? In that case, try a sandwich with fresh cheese and a cup of milk with gofio. For lunch let’s have a sopa de picadillo (chicken soup) and papas arrugadas con mojo y carne de cochino a la brasa (jacket potatoes with mojo and grilled pork) As dessert, bienmesabe, principe alberto or quesillo or a banana. Afterwards … a cup of coffee, with fresh or condensed milk. For dinner, a parrot fish or alfonsiño with some salad (including avocado from La Palma, please) and a glass of wine to finish off a big day. Good appetite!
