Cruz del Palo Podrido Festivities

The Cruz del Palo Podrido Festivities is a traditional celebration held in the neighborhood of Montes de Luna, in Villa de Mazo, which was revived in 2023 after more than 30 years. In its 2025 edition, the festival will feature sports, cultural, and musical activities, including the Cross Montes de Luna race, the Cruz del Palo Podrido Romería with decorated carts and folk groups, a popular festival with a performance by Mario Falero, the traditional Baile de Magos, traditional games for children, a communal paella, and the Baile de la Escoba to close the festivities. This celebration, which reflects the strong cultural roots and identity of the municipality, has become a key event in the island's festive calendar.
