Open Water Swim

The Isla de La Palma Open Water Swim is an annual competition held on the island of La Palma, offering swimmers the chance to navigate the stunning Atlantic coastline in an unparalleled natural setting. The event features various distances tailored to different levels of experience: 1 km, 4 km, and 7 km, along with mini-swims of 250 and 500 meters for younger participants. The 4 km race is part of both the Spanish Cup and the Canary Islands Open Water Cup, attracting both local and international athletes. With starting points at iconic beaches such as Los Cancajos and Puerto Trigo, and finishing in Santa Cruz de La Palma, the swim combines sport, nature, and tourism in a truly unique experience.
