Inspired in a real experience

I have always felt attracted by La Palma, la Isla Bonita. And that's the main reason why I opted for it this year

I really needed a kind of active holidays. Plenty of things to do!

DAY 1: I landed on La Palma, picked up my rent car and head for the appartment I had booked. I decided to spend the afternoon strolling around the capital and I found out that the island was ideal for other two outdoor activities: windsurf and kitesurf. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to take lessons. Next time!

DAY 2: 1st walk. Caldera de Taburiente National Park. I decided to contact a local firm. 6 unforgettable hours. What a natural wonder!

DAY 3: Paragliding. It was not the first time in my life but it was the first time to land on a black sand beach. Spectacular! I spent the rest of the day lying on that beach and admiring an unforgettable sunset

TAG 4. 2. Wanderroute. Messgerät-Würfel. Dieses Mal entschied ich mich, alleine zu gehen. Mir wurde gesagt, dass die Wanderwege auf der Insel gut markiert seien und natürlich! Kein Problem. Eine spektakuläre und sehr symbolische Route. Ich habe verstanden, warum La Palma auch so genannt wird „die grüne Insel“ Zum Mittagessen aß ich köstlichen frischen Fisch in der nahegelegenen, charmanten Stadt San Andrés und verbrachte den Nachmittag damit, um sie herumzulaufen und ein (doppeltes) Bad in den nahegelegenen Becken La Fajana und Charco Azul (letzteres direkt nebenan) zu nehmen.

DAY 5. Diving. I have dived in many parts of the world but few places so spectacular as La Palma. After the activity, I sunbathed on one of the beached along the coastline of Fuencaliente and spent the afternoon strolling around Los Llanos de Aridane, admiring the paintings on the buildings and Tazacorte where (again) I enjoyed an unforgettable sunset

TAG 6. An diesem Tag… doppelte Superaktivität: Walbeobachtung am Morgen und Sternenbeobachtung am Abend. Fast nichts! Ich bestieg ein Boot, das den Hafen von Tazacorte in Richtung Westküste verließ. Am Ende wurde ich heiser, weil ich so viel lachte, mich amüsierte und sagte: „Schau, schau ... wie wunderbar!“ Da meine nächste Aktivität nachts stattfand, hatte ich den ganzen Tag Zeit, weitere Museen zu besuchen, wie das mit der Palmenzigarre, oder in den süßen Geschäften der Insel einzukaufen. Und es ist so, dass ich eine ganze Welt des Handwerks entdeckt habe. Und die Nacht kam und mit ihr eine andere Welt, die sich über mir öffnete. Wieder kontaktierte ich ein örtliches Unternehmen, das mir half zu verstehen, was der Nachthimmel mir zeigte. Noch nie in meinem Leben hatte ich das Gefühl, dass die Sterne zum Greifen nah waren. Wegen allem, was ich erlebt habe, konnte ich nicht schlafen

DAY 7: My last day! Oh no! But i decided to change my mind for something more positive. And I opted for my last walk on La Palma: the famous Volcanoe Route. Again I hired a private firm and that was a good idea. Not only for logistics reason (start at Refugio del Pilar, finish at lighthouse in Fuencaliente ...more than a car is needed) but because I could understand the volcanic history and past of this wonderful island. Afterwards, and before packing my things, I decided to relax on a beach in Fuencaliente

DAY 8. Coming back home. Happy. It's all I can say: happy. My exhausted batteries have been charged on this wonderful island. I have always heard that it was pretty and very special .It is much more than that, I have to admit. La Palma, thanks very much and I will be back
